BEC's GSA WEBQUEST: NOW YOU KNOW!

Did You Know?

READ THROUGH THIS ENTIRE SECTION BEFORE BEGINNING!

In this task you will explore several websites to gather information about name-calling and how it affects GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered) youth.

As you read you will be learning new information and you may be exposed to new ideas. To keep track of this learning you will be asked to keep a journal or record.  As you read through the information about GBLT youth take note of the information you would like to share with the class. You may wish to write facts or statistics from the site.

Compile your notes by dividing them into categories such as history, biology, statistics, famous people, myths, viewpoints, etc. You should have at least two items under each category. (You can have as many as you wish).

You may divide each page into two columns for each category with the category title on one side and Comments on the other:

Share your reflection with a partner. What do you think of your partner's opinion/reflection? Tell him/her.
